The DM table brings together federal, provincial, and territorial governments to take a pan-Canadian approach to make it easier, more convenient, and more secure for individuals and businesses to access services and conduct business digitally anywhere in Canada.
The table is a forum for dialogue, cooperation, and consensus-building to elevate Canada’s leadership in the digital space and cyber security. Members work to remove barriers to access by collaborating on data sharing, interoperable systems, digital tools, artificial intelligence enablement, and cyber security to ultimately lay the foundation for a digital public infrastructure that fosters a thriving economy and enables digital government.
Key priorities:
This event brings Ministers and Deputy Ministers from across Canada to work together to put in place the digital infrastructure, services, and technology Canadians can trust. Symposium topics include wide-ranging issues, including digital public infrastructure, digital trust, cyber security, and artificial intelligence.
The DM table reports to the Forum of Ministers, highlighting achievements, demonstrating progress on key priorities, sharing lessons learned, and working through challenges in achieving identified priorities. The annual symposium acts as a key platform to foster cooperation on pan-Canadian initiatives.
The Institute for Citizen-Centred Service (ICCS) provides advisory and secretariat support to the table and its co-chairs in planning and strategy, as well as organizing meetings and maintaining records. The ICCS offers a central repository for documentation and collaboration tools for members.
